There's a lot of cleansers out there in the market and when cleansing balms became famous in the beauty community, this was the first that I've tried.
So what’s in it for me?
This cleansing balm has a long name: Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter which is part of the Camomile range from The Body Shop. It's a nice introduction to cleansing balms if you're interested because it's easily accessible. For others, it can be an alternative to cleansing oils and micellar water. A little goes a long way and it’s travel-friendly.
How to use it?
According to the instructions I see under the tin, apply to dry face and massage into skin. Either rinse off with warm water or remove with a face cloth; I use the Krama ones from Ikea. I prefer doing the latter because this serves as my first cleanse, to remove makeup or SPF.
PRICE: MYR 75.50
AVAILABILITY: The Body Shop stores or online.
Have you tried this Camomile Cleansing Butter?
I didn't have any reaction with the ingredients listed such as Shea butter or Olive oil. It doesn't stay that long on the face to make such reaction, but I've encountered a few who had a reaction to it. On the eye area, it’s a no-no, even when they said it's suitable for contact lens wearers. When you finish the product, the tin can be recycled just like what Mr. did on the first one that I finished. He removed the label, cleaned it and used it as a container for small bits; think of small screws and bolts or even nails. Have you tried this and if you did, what are your thoughts?
